Garen joined the company as a Search Consultant in August 1993. At the time, the company operated as ROMAC & Associates, a national search firm specializing in the placement of Accounting/Finance professionals. In 1994, ROMAC & Associates franchise owners renamed the firm Gateway Group Personnel, capitalizing on their 12 year presence in the Greater Memphis/Mid-South market and electing to become independent of any national corporation. In January 2007, Garen was announced President of Gateway Group Personnel. In April of 2007, he was accepted into Pinnacle Society - the nation's premier consortium of top executive recruiters within the permanent placement and search industry. Also in 2007, Garen was recognized as one of Memphis' "Top 40 Under 40" by the Memphis Business Journal. Garen currently serves on Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Memphis’ Board of Directors, having served Board Chair in 2006. Additionally, Garen is currently serving as President of Mid-South Futbol Club. Garen received his undergraduate degree in management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL in 1992. Garen's goal is to responsibly manage and grow the premier search and staffing firm in the Mid-South region of the United States, in honor of the memory of his deceased parents, founders of the firm.

Jered joined Gateway Group Personnel in 1994, when he started working miscellaneous Temp jobs while attending college.  A magna cum laude graduate from Christian Brothers University in 1997 with a BSBA in Management,  Jered joined Gateway Group’s temporary services division and launched his career in the staffing industry.    In 2001, Jered earned his Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist certification from the National Association of Personnel Services, strengthening his knowledge of federal and state laws affecting the temporary staffing industry.  He is recognized by his peers and clients for his relationship selling approach.

When he is not in the office, Jered keeps busy with the Greater Memphis Soccer Association, and can be found on the soccer field winning championships.


Ron Franks

Ron joined Gateway Group Personnel in 1998. He began his professional career with a regional public accounting firm, Dixon Hughes Goodman (formerly Rhea & Ivy PLC) and serviced both the Audit and Tax departments. After six years in public accounting, Ron began his recruiting career and has progressed to his current position of managing the firm's Permanent Search division. He maintains an active desk servicing Fortune 100 to smaller companies in the recruitment of accounting, finance, engineering and human resource disciplines. Ron is a member of the Pinnacle Society, the nation's premier consortium of 75 top recruiters within the permanent placement and search industry. He serves as the golf committee chairman for the Tennessee Society of CPA's - Memphis Chapter. Ron graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in accounting.
